While a 50 amp RV service requires four wires and uses a four-prong plug, it is still only three pole with hot, neutral and ground connections. This differs from the conventional 120 volt service in one major way - two separate legs of 120 volts each at 50 amps. Contrary to popular belief, a 50 amp service does not consist of a 30 and 20 amp service combined. Even the most larger RVs use this double-hot-pole setup instead when plugged into 50 amps in order to draw 120 volts from two distinct 120-volt circuits simultaneously for up to 12,000 watts of power at once. For safety and quality assurance, it should come pre-installed into an individualized, weatherproof product box. Hence it does not matter which receiver is connected with either wire.Step 7To complete the installation of your new 50 amp outlet, you must switch back on the main breaker and then turn on its double-pole breaker.Step 8To ensure a safe connection for your RV, use the voltage meter set to 240 volts as specified by the manufacturer and test each receiver before plugging in. Insert one probe into an individual hot slot while placing the other prob into its corresponding neutral slot; you should receive a reading of 120V. Then move both probes to their respective hot slots and record that same result -120V- verifying that all is well with your wiring setup! Finally, place both probes within two distinct hot receivers simultaneously: now you should get your expected voltage rating of 240V confirming successful completion of this important safety check.

How To Test an RV Pedestal With a Multimeter Before you plug your RV into a pedestal, use a meter to ensure proper voltage and polarity levels. It's easier than it sounds! When it comes to testing this service, it's essential that you utilize transitional terminology in order to guarantee accurate results. This helps mark the start and end points of your test properly for more reliable outcomes. To test a 30-amp RV outlet with a multimeter follow these steps: With the circuit breaker turned on, place the black probe in the half-round (ground) slot and insert the red probe into its corresponding rectangular (hot) slot. Confirm the multimeter readings. Insert the black probe into the ground slot and then move the red probe to the common slot. Once more, take note of the multimeter reading. Step 1. Circuit Breaker SwitchFor further testing, keep the circuit breaker in its "on" position and insert the black probe into the half-round (ground) slot. Step 2: Solid Ground ConnectionInsert the red probe into the left rectangular (hot) port and ensure that it reads between 115-120 volts, signaling a secure ground connection as well as correct polarity. Step 3: Ground SlotKeep the black probe in the ground slot. Step 4: Right (Common) SlotMove the red probe to the right common slot. A successful transfer should result in no reading between common and ground slots, otherwise abstain from connecting any further if a required outcome is not achieved.

 WOOD CHECKINGBoth White and Red Cedar Found in many rustic furniture are subject to the natural process of checking.  This is a completely normal process in the "seasoning" of the wood as it dries. Scientifically, checking occurs as cedar releases moisture and shrinks/expends as the wood dries. As cedar dries, the exterior or sapwood is exposed to the elements causing it to dry and shrink faster than the inner surface.  The inner surface known as heartwood tends to dry slower causing checking to occur. Checking is defined as:A lengthwise separation of the wood from traditional or kiln dried seasoning that can extend through the annual growth rings. Wood naturally dries from the surface to the center causing moisture fluctuation.  It is important to note that the result of checking is neither a split or a crack. Understanding your RV Pedestal - Intro 101 30-amp (120 volts - 2 pole, 3 wire RV outlets)The 30 amp, or the more technically called TT-30P (plug) and TT-30R (receptacle) are designations reserved specifically for motorhomes, rv’s and trailers.  The 30 amp RV Plug is 120-volts and must be wired accordingly. A 30 amp will consist of 3 wires; black (HOT), white (neutral) and green (grond). 50 amp (120/240 volt 3 pole 4 wire) The 50 amp has 4 wires with two being HOT and is the standard for larger RV’s.  The receptacle is labeled 14-50R and the plug 14-50P. The wiring consists of two, 120 volt hot wires, a neutral, and the half round pin being the ground.  The two independent 120 volts creates 240 when you test across and 120 volts between each individually with ground and neutral. The two wires should be connected to a 50 Amp breaker. 15/20 amp The 15 & 20 amp is the most common outlets with the 20 amp usually found with GFCI protected outlets.  Rated for 125 volts/20 amps. Planning should make note of different areas for the different ages groups of children.Playground DesignThe proper "use zone" around equipment should be established.  While there are acceptations, each piece of equipment must have a 6' clearance zone around it. This allows a safety buffer allowing for entering and exiting equipment in addition to a clear area in case of falls.Carefully measure the total amount of free space you can offer for the playground. Interacting first through a chain link fence is a great way to reduce any possible outbursts and helps with gradual introductions. Make it productive While the key of dog parks is exercise and interaction, it's also about presenting a challenge that allows dogs to utilize their natural instincts.  Setting the terrain to maximize a dog's ability to, well be a dog is key. Topography should be multifaceted with different levels of surfaces aimed for all skill levels.  The key to this is utilizing a wide range of products and channels for dogs to naturally expend their energy. Franchises must regularly meet standards so your customer base knows and relies on a quality experience each time.  They also benefit from an existing infrastructure, or a proven model of success. Does your area have heavy traffic and or is it near a destination spot?  Many visitors may only be passing through, but it's a great revenue source. If you can find a location close to local attractions or touristy areas you may be able to capture the best of both worlds.  Step 2: Organize Your Financing Financing can easily be one of the most complicated steps in buying a campground.  A lot of RV park owners struggle to get the necessary financing to build out or make upgrades to a campground. Many buyers find themselves needing to approach multiple lenders, but don't let this discourage you.   Having a business plan is going to assist in getting lenders on board.  It's best to outline what you want to do and how you are going to do it.
