Refund and Returns Policy

Outdoorsiness is committed to fast, efficient service. Before you start a return, here are the four things most worth knowing — then the full policy below.

Inspect at Delivery

Note any damage on the delivery receipt before signing. Damage that isn't noted may not be compensable.

Return Freight Is Yours

Custom and made-to-order items and all return freight are the purchaser's responsibility, and can be cost-prohibitive.

Returns Carry Fees

Packaging, return shipping, and a 20–30% restocking fee factor into your final refund.

Call within 48 business hours. We can often replace items or file a freight claim without a return.

Before you begin, contact us. The first thing we recommend — before considering a return — is to talk to us. We'll always try to resolve issues as quickly and efficiently as possible. Call us within 48 business hours of delivery if items are damaged, incorrect, or missing. Our team can help replace items and/or file a freight damage claim on your behalf.

Return & Refund Eligibility

To be eligible for a refund, an item must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Unopened and in original condition, returned within 30 days of the ship date.
  • Not a custom or made-to-order item (see Custom & Commercial Orders below).
  • Defective parts or items qualify (with exceptions for freight damage, which is covered on our Delivery & Shipping page).

Shipping & Restocking Fees

Returns that meet the criteria above are eligible for a full or partial refund of the product cost. The following shipping-related costs apply:

  • Returned orders do not receive shipping reimbursements.
  • Returned orders incur shipping and restocking costs to and from our warehouse.
  • If the order shipped under "Free Shipping," the deducted shipping cost will be the greater of the actual shipping/restock charges or 10% of the order.
  • If an order is cancelled due to lead times that were accurately stated on the product page, a 5% processing fee applies to cover credit card fees.
  • Returns are subject to restocking fees from Outdoorsiness or the manufacturer of 20–30% of product cost.

How to Return an Order

Before returning anything, review the eligibility and fee sections above. Then:

  1. Email sales@outdoorsiness.com to receive a return authorization number and the correct warehouse return address.
  2. You are responsible for returning the item with the carrier of your choice and for any shipping costs incurred.
  3. Allow time for shipping, inspection, and up to two business days to process your refund.

Outdoorsiness is not responsible for misdirected or lost shipments, or for damaged/lost parts that were not noted before a return is shipped from you.

Freight & Delivery Inspection

All requests for shipping-charge reimbursement — whether due to missed appointments by the freight company or concealed damage caused by freight negligence — must be directed to the freight company, not to Outdoorsiness.

  • The customer must be available for delivery.
  • The customer must inventory the shipment within 48 business hours.
  • The customer must note any damage on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery and notify sales@outdoorsiness.com within 48 business hours.
  • Damage or missing pieces do not constitute a late shipment.

Custom & Commercial Orders

Custom orders made by the manufacturer may not be eligible for returns or credits. Lead times for these products vary, and production is scheduled around individual orders. Supply chain delays remain common, so all lead times are estimates only.

If we are able to accommodate a cancellation, it will incur a 30% cancellation/restocking fee, and the customer is responsible for both original and return shipping. Custom items may include:

  • Items with selected options (e.g., mailboxes, custom cedar furniture).
  • Commercial pool furniture.
  • Commercial benches, tables, and trash cans.
  • Products manufactured to a specific order's color, stain, or size selections.
